Put on God’s armour and sharpen your sword

The battle belongs to the LORD
Be of good courage and do not despair

For Gideon’s army is here
Don’t turn to the left or turn to the right

Look straight ahead and fight the good fight
Til evil has vanished from His holy sight

The battle belongs to the LORD

Remember the battle of Jericho

When the walls came tumbling down
When the trumpets blew Joshua knew

To march seven times around
To trust and obey what God has to say

Is better than any reward
So be of good cheer and do not despair

For the battle belongs to the LORD

When the nations of the world unite

And darkness covers the land
Deceived by sin they think they will win

But the battle belongs to the Lamb
Come out of the darkness and into the light

And you will see clearly to do what is right
Then you will be able to fight the good fight

For the battle belongs to the LORD

When Jesus returns with the angels on high

To put an end to sin
As LORD of lords and KING of kings

The Savior is coming again
Then those who love the LORD most High

Will rise to meet Him in the sky
Then we will be able to testify

That the battle belongs to the LORD

When Satan and his legions come

To fight against the LORD
Put your trust in Jesus Christ

And don’t deny His Word
Do not be discouraged and fear for your life

For Jesus will help you to fight the good fight
But not by your power and not by your might
