Our Grief Is Love

Our grief is love, that has no where to go

Except to God, He's the only one I know

Who can dry our tears, and take away the pain

And restore all things through Jesus Christ again

I heard the news of Charlie's death today

Cut down by hate from those who disobey

The law of God who told us not to kill

And to live our lives according to his will

My life has changed, and I am feeling weary

It's not the same, now that Charlie's gone

But he'll remain forever in my memory

And by the grace of God I'll carry on

He was a young man, only thirty one

He had a passion for our Father and His Son

And now that he is gone, his work will carry on

Through others, until our Savior comes

He was a father and a husband to his wife

And defender of our children's right to life

He was wise beyond his years

And Charlie had no fear

When it came to doing what he knew was right
